Updates for 2025

Going forward there will be many Things in the work as we prepare for Hearse con on may 31st. This means focusing more on production rather than posting, but posts will still be up as often as possible. Here are some projects that I hope to get done by then:

• 3D prints of my cute characters

I want to make Cottonball, Vippsy, and Luvo ( the three Daemons I created to make into stickers in the future) into small 3D key chains or baubles to sell on they website and at cons. Maybe even a logo keychain to use as an add on item for big purchases.

• More creatures and creepy things

While this one might be obvious I want to make it a goal to get as many creatures drawn and printed by then to show off my love for the spooky things. This will also include classic monsters and horror characters from pop culture.

• More Stickers!

  I have been searching for beter sticker distributors to find the most cost Effective options with the best quality. While this has been a bigger task than I intended I am determined to have good quality items for those who might like my art enough to buy it.

• DnD Bundles

  While this may not get done by May 31st I want to develop my original creatures into DnD bundles for homebrew games. That way people can have new monsters to add to their roster.

Holographic prints! Currently only in small select prints, but check out the print shop soon for the Holographic prints that art dropping the last week of March.

Hearse Con!

We are pleased to announce that we will be making an Appearance as a vendor at hearse con! More information about the con and updates on how to find us at the con will be regularly updated in the Events page. The Excitement to finally get to attend a con is overwhelming and before the date we will update everyone on the prints and merch we will have available at the event. So keep a look out!

While this is a big step in the small Business aspect as an artist this is very daunting for me. I am hoping that it will end with more of a community to share my art with and an empty supply of prints at the end of the con. The prints in the works have been mostly anime in preparation for NDK application Feb. 1st. but with the Hearse con confirmed I can now get to some of the creepy creatures I love to draw as well. Art Drop

A new project is finally finished!

Albedo, the Right hand woman of Ainz Ooal Gown, in the anime overlord has mad her debut. Available now in the shop.

This project has been the most complex yet enjoyable work that I have done yet.

Challenges:

The biggest challenge has been the camera angle that Ultimately made the body positioning Difficult for my skill level at that point. The layering of the costume also was difficult, not for the costume itself, but Because it made the body shape Vague. the layering of the ruffles made it difficult to clearly Convey the body shape and position beneath the texture. With the characters having such distinct color pallets I did have to think about the way in which i would blend the colors while making cohesive. I figured the best way to go about this was to use lighting and bounce light to make the colors blend into one another.

Things I learned:

I learned the importance of Persistence. While this project did take a lot more time than any others I have worked on before it was the most successful. The success was mostly due to a mind over matter circumstance to keep working on it, or taking time to step away and come back to it, and never moving on. This may seem like a strange thing to learn at this point but its truly is a daily Struggle with my art.

I also learned some new techniques such as working form general forms down to the details, along with leaving details to the focal point. The metal texture was also a new method that was learned by watching WOLP on time-laps videos of their visually stunning method of metal rendering. While I do not think I rendered it exactly as them I do think i found my own way to do so.

Future Updates:

I am still working on getting a table in a con this coming year but it may be difficult due to being new to the scene. Regardless I will be attending NDK in 2025 with or without a table. I will be continuing the fan art with character updates on the discord and patreon. 3D work is developing and may be able to be streamed but it will lead to 3D merch More cool stuff to come!

Streaming on Twitch!

DV is now streaming on twitch!

Every sunday will be the goal for weekly streams. Updates for future Schedule will be displayed on the twitch page Schedule. with the first Trial run this Sunday Dec. 8Th 2024, 10am (MT) a new project will be Unveiled within the stream soon to be a new print added to the shop. Things might start out a bit basic, but we can’t wait to start the journey and share it with you. We will continue to polish the quality and brand of our streams. Join us on twitch now!

Plan for the streams:

The hope is to eventually build up an archive of streams on youtube as well as some educational videos as well. Twitch streaming will remain a constant Occurrence as long as time permits. with possible breaks during holidays or short breaks for the artist streaming allows a Avenue to build a community that is friendly and inclusive that we hope will continue to grow with you.

Plans for conventions:

Two cons have been planned for 2025 and as long as we are accepted for a booth DV LLC will be there with prints and merch. Announcements for the cons will be here on the blog as well as updated in the events page.

Blog updates:

These updates serve as a way to document the progress we make as a small Business and as an artist. It also is a Recourse to anyone is looking for a resource for building an entity for their own art or project coming from someone starting at ground zero. Big news for DV LLC. we have developed a new website so explore the new hub for all our new prints.

future plans

In the span of a year or so we plan on taking the art on the road with selected conventions and events. While we do our best to adapt to this new method please be patient, we will post as often as possible and provide updates on the new for such events well before the event.
